Birding Festival Appearances

Me – Altadena, CA

As part of the Zeiss Birding Team I regularly get to appear at birding festivals across the country. I’m mainly there to talk to people about optics, but part of the fun of festivals is that I regularly get to lead walks and give presentations on everything from raptor identification to how to pick your first pair of binoculars. Of course the best part of festivals for me personally is getting to catch up with friends from across the country, so if you’re in town drop by the Zeiss Sports Optics booth and say hello.

Upcoming events in 2018 (festival links in titles):

August 8-12 — Southeast Arizona Birding Festival (Tucson). I’ll be Madera Canyoning it Friday and co-leading the Youth Birding walk with Bill Thompson III on Saturday.

August 21-26 — International Ornithological Conference (Vancouver, Canada).

September 26-30 — Western Field Ornithologists Conference (Ventura, California) Thursday and Sunday I’ll be leading tours in the Western Antelope Valley. Come join me!

November 2-4 — Lodi Sandhill Crane Festival (Lodi, California)

More soon…
